Creative Coaster Creations

July 14, 2010

It’s time for the 2nd Annual Pretzel Coaster Build-Off sponsored by Busch Gardens and Snyder’s Pretzels of Hanover. We’ve narrowed it down to five finalists and what amazing creations they have built. They were asked to create a coaster from scratch using nothing but pretzels and a glue gun. Here’s their creations.

Ranging in age from 12 to 45, our finalists have been selected to compete in a head-to-head coaster build-off unlike any other. They, along with their families, will travel to our park tomorrow to recreate one of our park’s most beloved coasters, Griffon. They will be competing against one another, the clock and even last year’s finalist, Gregory Stanton from Maryland.

Not only will the winner receive the ultimate bragging rights, they will win a four-pack of two-year, 2-Park passes for Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. Not to mention a year’s supply of pretzels. If you’ve been keeping count, that worth more than $1,200. That’s a lot of pressure on our finalist’s shoulders.

The competition is in its second year, and we’re expecting the best from these amazing finalists. Come out and cheer on your favorite finalist in our park tomorrow. You won’t want to miss an amazing contest like this one. Who knows, maybe it will spark the pretzel-coaster creator in you.
