World’s Largest Swim Lesson Update

June 30, 2010

On June 3, Water Country USA participated in the World’s Largest Swim lesson. Facilities around the world offered a free swim lesson to raise awareness about the importance of water safety.

We received information from the World’s Largest Swim organization that based on participant logs they received and criteria provide by Guinness World Records they are confident a world record was set. However, it may take a few weeks to receive confirmation from Guinness.

The WLSL organization estimates 3,000,000 participants in the event that helped raised awareness on the importance of teaching children to swim.

Water Country USA is continuing our mission to help raise awareness by offering swim lessons to children. This week our first students began taking lessons. There are 13 children participating in lessons this week and they are doing fantastic. Watching them explore the water and learn how to float, swim, and bob is amazing.

The weather has been so hot this week many families have decided to stay and play in the park after the swim lesson and enjoy cooling off. It’s one of the best ways to cool down this summer. If you are interested in signing your child up for swimming lessons, go to our website, http://www.watercountryusa.com/wc/cp/?page=swimminglessons for more information. Lessons are one week long and contain five sessions.
