Looking For Shade?

May 7, 2010

Busch Gardens takes pride in its design and the way the park blends into the natural topography. With that, there are plenty of trees along the pathways that lead to natural shading throughout the park, aiding in cooling our guests on those hot summer days.

We do realize that there are some areas that aren’t as fruitful in the natural wooded areas for shading so we help make shade for our visitors by adding shade structures to the park. As you walk through the park, you may notice that these structures are strategically placed.

At the Wolf Show viewing area, a new pergola was added over a newly constructed deck. In Sesame Street Forest of Fun, shade structures were built at the entrance and the queue lines to Bert and Ernie’s Loch Adventure and Grover’s Alpine Express. Shade umbrellas were also added by the bench seating throughout the area and more will be added near the restrooms.

Added to the list is the queue line for Curse of DarKastle. Some work we have already done is add four shade trees this year to help cool down our guests with the help of our misting fans.

And don’t forget our air conditioned theaters featuring our spectacular shows.

We are always looking for ways to make our guests’ experiences better, so continue to look for improvements throughout the park.

Until next time…
